Faith Evans is a Grammy Award-winning R&B singer-songwriter, originally from Lakeland, Florida. She was raised in New Jersey and relocated to Los Angeles where she became the first female artist signed to Puff Daddy's Bad Boy Entertainment recording company. There she first met Stevie J, who would later help pen her Billboard Hot 100 hit single ""I'll Be Missing You", which would become one of the best-selling singles of all time. She has had a career spanning two decades and has sold over 18 million records worldwide. She is the widow of New York rapper The Notorious B.I.G., who she married in 1994. She previously appeared as a cast member and co-executive producer on the TV One reality show R&B Divas: Atlanta.
Love & Hip Hop franchise (2015–2019)[]
Faith first appears as a guest star in one episode of season four of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, two episodes of the spin-off show Stevie J & Joseline: Go Hollywood and one episode of season five of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, where she appears as Stevie J's longtime friend and confidante, who offers advice on his relationship struggles with Joseline.
Faith appears as a supporting cast member on season one of Leave It to Stevie, which chronicles her and Stevie's blossoming romance after decades of friendship. She breaks up with him in the season finale after Stevie admits to partying with other women.
Faith would return in a guest role in season two of Leave It to Stevie, when Stevie travels to Los Angeles in an attempt to reignite his romance with Faith, and in three episodes of season eight of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, now as Stevie's wife, having married him in a secret ceremony in Vegas months prior.
