Bobby Lytes is a main cast member on Love & Hip Hop: Miami and one of the show's original eight cast members.

He appears as a major anti-heroic protagonist. Season one chronicles the demise of his relationship with Jeffrey White, and his feud with White's ex Malik. Season two highlighted his tumultuous friendship with Prince. He is the cousin of Trina, and the show highlights the ups and downs of Trina attempting to help Bobby with his music career.

He has gotten into altercations with numerous cast members including Amara, Liz, Jojo and a memorable moment during the second season of Family Vacation with Peter Gunz. By the third season, Bobby's role was drastically reduced, having very little focused storyline, and was instead a confidante to cast members.

Before Love & Hip Hop[]

Bobby Lytes is a rapper. Lytes was born and raised in Homestead, Florida to Dominican parents. He is Trina's first cousin. In 2014, he was arrested multiple times for grand theft, larceny and probation violations.

Love & Hip Hop franchise (2018–present)[]

In 2018, Bobby joined the cast of Love & Hip Hop: Miami, becomes the franchise's first openly gay main cast member. Love & Hip Hop: Miami chronicles his career struggles as a gay rapper in the homophobic hip hop industry. In the first season, he discovers that Jeffrey, his boyfriend of a year and a half, has been cheating on him behind his back with his ex Malik. In the second season, his friendship with Prince disintegrates after he disapproves of Prince's relationship with Liz.

Bobby also appears in the specials Love & Hip Hop Awards: Most Certified and 40 Greatest Love & Hip Hop Moments: The Reboot.

  • In the fan-voted 2018 Mona Awards, Bobby was nominated in the "Breakout Star" category. He lost to Amara La Negra, receiving 10% of the vote. He was also nominated in the "Issa Lewk" category for his fashion style. He lost to Rasheeda, receiving 13% of the vote.
