Gunplay is a main cast member on Love & Hip Hop: Miami and one of the show's original eight cast members.

He appears as a supporting cast member for one episode on season six of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.

Before Love & Hip Hop[]

Gunplay is a rapper. He was born in El Paso, Texas to parents of Jamaican and Puerto Rican descent and grew up in Carol City in South Florida. He is a practitioner of Santería. He made his rap debut as part of Rick Ross' Southern hip hop group Triple C's, before embarking on a solo career. He has had a very public battle with cocaine addiction. In 2012, he faced a life sentence in prison after being arrested for armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault. Charges were later dropped and he relocated to Atlanta.

Love & Hip Hop franchise (2017–present)[]

Gunplay first appeared as a supporting cast member on one episode of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, where he convinced his friend Lil Scrappy to move to Miami with him.

In 2018, Gunplay joined the cast of Love & Hip Hop: Miami, which chronicles his return to Miami and the battle with substance abuse and the temptations of gang life. The first season explores his relationship struggles with Keyara Stone, his girlfriend of two years, including his lingering feelings for ex-girlfriend Miami Tip, and a suspected relapse after the death of a close friend. The second season chronicles his attempts to win Keyara back, after she discovers that he has been messaging other women.

In 2022, rumors are circulating he is returning to the cast of Love & Hip Hop: Miami. It seems Gunplay has found a new love of his life. Social media shows he is dating an Afro-Latina influencer by the name of Vonshaé. Viral TikTok and Instagram videos have circulated early July with the couple announcing a soon to be baby. Fans are speculating if the two have already tied the knot with the couple being seen in photos with what it appears to be wedding bands.

  • In the fan-voted 2018 Mona Awards, Gunplay and Keyara were nominated in the "#RelationshipGoals" category. They lost to Remy Ma and Papoose, receiving only 3% of the vote.
