Malik appears as a supporting cast member in the first season of Love & Hip Hop: Miami. He is closeted but his feelings for his ex-boyfriend Jeffrey make it difficult for him to maintain his heterosexual facade. He comes out publicly and the two begin an affair, igniting an intense feud between Malik and Jeffrey's boyfriend Bobby.
Malik does not return to the show after the season's reunion special, where he breaks up with Jeffrey onstage.
