"Reality Check" is a special that serves in place of the Love & Hip Hop: New York season two reunion. It is the 11th episode of the season, and the 20th episode overall. It first aired on February 6, 2012 to 2.30 million viewers.

- Rich Dollaz, Maurice Aguilar and Teairra Marí are the only cast members of the season not to appear.
- This is the last Love & Hip Hop: New York episode featuring Chrissy, Jim Jones, Emily, Somaya and Mama Jones until season ten. Chrissy, Jim, Emily and Mama Jones would leave the series to star in the spin off show Chrissy & Mr. Jones, although Mama Jones and Somaya would return in the specials 40 Greatest Love & Hip Hop Moments, Love & Hip Hop Live: The Wedding and Love & Hip Hop New York: Dirty Little Secrets respectively. This is also Kimbella and Olivia's last episode as series regulars, Olivia would return as a supporting cast member the following season, while Kimbella would return in guest appearances before rejoining the main cast in season seven.
