Shay Johnson is a main cast member on Love & Hip Hop: Miami and one of the show's original eight cast members.

She appears as a supporting cast member in the first two seasons of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.

Before Love & Hip HopEdit

Shay is an urban model, reality television personality and fitness guru, originally from Atlanta, Georgia. She is a former video vixen who appeared in hip hop videos for Fabolous and Young Dro, however, she is best known as "Buckeey" on the VH1 reality shows Flavor of Love and Charm School.

Love & Hip Hop franchise (2012–present)Edit

Shay first appears as a supporting cast member in the first two seasons of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, as Lil Scrappy's "friend-with-benefits". She is secretly in love with Scrappy, but he refuses to claim their relationship as anything more than casual sex. Despite Momma Dee's matchmaking attempts, he eventually dumps Shay to pursue a serious relationship with his baby mama Erica. Shay filmed scenes for season three but after a violent altercation during filming, in which she cracked a bottle over a woman's face in a night club brawl, she was removed from the cast and her scenes were left on the cutting room floor.

In 2018, Shay joined the main cast of Love & Hip Hop: Miami. In the first season, Shay relocates to Miami for her man, Pleasure P, who she has been in a long distance relationship with for two years. She quickly clashes with his Pretty Ricky group mate Baby Blue Whoaaaa, before igniting violent feuds with Pleasure's ex Gabby (who she dubs "Mint Chocolate" after the ice cream she threw at her) and "Instagram science experiment(s)" Chinese Kitty and Chinese Nicky. During the season, her relationship with P falls apart. In season two, she struggles with a serious medical issue, amid a violent feud with Jojo.

Shay also appears in the specials Love & Hip Hop Awards: Most Certified and 40 Greatest Love & Hip Hop Moments: The Reboot.
